No-bump dodgems

Ironic that the very group who introduced dodgems to the UK have now **** down on bumping in dodgems.

I thought the whole point of dodgems was to bump into others - otherwise what is there to do but ride round in circles? Its a bit like having chocolate but not being allowed to eat it  )):

probably 'bumps' up their insurance up quite a bit  )):

maybe they need to have a disclaimer - like they do on supermarket car parks

(which can, lets face it, be a bit like being on a dodgem ride sometimes)

Checked my calendar there - thought I was in a timewarp back to April 1st!!

Just when you think you've heard all the ridiculous H&S rubbish out there....makes you wonder how we've survived all these years going to fairgrounds(!!)

Seem to remember from the article that there has never been a successful claim of this sort, anyway, so where's the problem?

maybe they need to have a disclaimer - like they do on supermarket car parks
or on Starbucks' coffee cups!!

My wife picked up her supply of daily aspirin yesterday.  It has a warning on the pharmacist's label 'Contains aspirin'.  We certainly would hope so!

As for dodgems - they've always had a warning not to hit other cars deliberately in my experience.  It's just that everyone ignored it.  I think the original idea was that you drove like the wind, and dodged the other cars.  One trick used to be to turn the wheel as far as you could, so that the car went into reverse.  When I was young the fairground workers id it to impress the girls.

Isn't the problem here that people have gone on the dodgems, had a bump, and then sued, so tht owners have no choice but to insist on no bumping.  I agree as well that most of them do say, and always have said no bumping, but we all do!
One God - enough for me
