So I see we fell off the wagon again yesterday.  Hope you didn't blow too many fuses, Mike.

Nothing to do with me, honest!  )):  and there's nothing on the SMF support forum about the down time.

The host server does seem to have an awful lot of glitches! I wonder if 'myfreeforum' would have been a better host?

My guess is that these things are pretty much of a muchness.  Part of the problem with the long downtime this time, was that we didn't know the protocol for getting things fixed, and so the SMFNEW forum support team weren't informed that there was a problem until 03:00 hours this morning (we have to register a support call on the support forum - until that happens they won't know there's a problem).

Given that the support is probably located somwhere near the servers in Dallas, Texas, and their time offset is -5 hours,  that means they will have received the call at 10:00pm (their time) when they were probably not working.  They started to look at it at 11:35:13 (06:35AM their time) and resolved the problem in 2 minuites.

Now we know the system I think things will happen more quickly.
It's not just what you're given, it's what you do with what you've got.
