As a short term solution, maybe they do help some people cope with stress.

Smoking a joint would probably be more effective at releaving stress mind {:

I think the problem is that many people who are low because they've lost their job or are worried about losing their job are just that - low, fed up, worried! All of which can cause severe misery (to them and their families) but are a WORLD away from suffering from Depression! Yes, some might well have Depression but a lot of GPs dole out anti-deps like sweeties. As soon as someone presents feeling "low",  they jump on Depression as the diagnosis - it WILL be in some cases - but definitely not all!

And because of this willy-nilly diagnosing of Depression, it means people who really DO have the illness struggle to get help because other areas of help are clogged up with folk who are "fed up" or "low"....it also encourages folk who see some people get over their "depression" in a matter of weeks to have a go at those who really DO have the illness and who CAN'T just shake it off - because it DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT!!!!!!!

The only solution to money problems is either to earn more or spend less. Sorry. Pills will not alter the Micawber-ite problem of 'income ?1 expenditure ?1/0/6 - result, misery' (though I may have slightly misquoted it!)
Check out www.specialistauctions.com - the alternative to ebay!
