E-readers

Wondered what folk think of e-readers such as Amazon's Kindle, Sony's Reader or Samsung's Papyrus?

I know some folk think ereaders are more convenient, but personally I don't think you can whack curling up with an actual book! I won't be converting....

The reason I ask is that an increasing number of my 'professional' texts are becoming available on this kind of platform - including many of the older ones.  I already have 3 bookshelves of this kind of book and wondered whether I ought to sell the books - perhaps via Ebay or Amazon - and repurchase them as electronic volumes - thus saving the need for shelf after bookshelf!!

I'd have to agree that nothing beats curling up with a good book with something great to drink - but how often does one do that with a 'professional' text anyway!!??

I can totally see the benefit of them for professional texts. That does sound like a good move, but hmmmm, why did I forget to add the "something great to drink" bit.......I'm slipping   w: "A"

I had never heard of them until I read of e-readers on this forum. One of my daughter's borrowed one from a friend and brought it to show us when she was visiting us the other day. They seem like a good idea, so I ordered a couple to see if we like them.

My husband is thrilled with his Kindle and has learned how to operate it, which is more than I have! I gave mine to my daughter.
