Fanfare for the common ground?
« on: April 08, 2011, 11:21:10 »
According to the Daily Telegraph for March 5th 2011, this year's Salisbury Festival is due to 'see' the first performance of an oratorio called 'Where Two Worlds Touch' which designed to act as a bridge between Christianity and Islam.  The Islamii element seems to be based, largely, on material written by Sufi poet Jalal ad-Din Rumi, whose life as a poet and philosopher seems to have coincided with the laying of the Salisbury Cathedral foundation stone - in 1240.  It is due to be performed on May 21st.

1) will anyone be going to the festival
2) has anyone heard any more about this oratorio?
Growing old is compulsory. Growing up is optional.

Have you visited the Garw Valley Railway yet?
