Ian Brady....sane enough to enact suicide?

Brady has had many people in a pickle...he wants to prove he is sane so that he can starve himself to death.  For years many have clamoured for the death sentence for him...and he's happy to die, so many want him to be forced to live.....so...should convicted criminnals be allowed to opt out of life?

probably....   :-) if nothing else it is an adimssion that there is no chance of an appeal being successful (i e the guy is guilty) and it saves the public a wad of cash...
