Rugby world cup

I did not see the last game, but I gather it was a bit of a travesty... Anyone who did see it care to comment? Sounds to me as though the Welshies were robbed...

Not according to the great Welsh scrum half, Robert Jones, Andrew.  He agreed that the French hadn't played very well, and that Wales should have won - but also noted that when you miss 3 penalties and a conversion in the way that Wales did, then he wasn't sure that they deserved to win.  He also agreed that the tackle made by Warburton was a bad tackle and believed that it should have been a red card - but bemoaned the fact that Wales just happened to get the one referee so far who actually applied the law on this issue.

Went to watch the 'bronze final' on the screen at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.  Wales were woeful.  Do we really want another team that relies on 3 or 4 players to get it moving, so that when a couple are not available the rest crumble?

Yes, I have since heard about the missed penalties etc - seems they probably DID deserve to loose...

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole Rugby World Cup! The last game was a scrappy affair, but I suppose the final is never renowned for perfect strategic play!

Roll on the Six Nations now! Can't wait!! {:
