Poverty link to starting periods earlier

Found this story of interest, especially as I thought that received wisdom is that the reduction in the age of puberty over the past 3 or 4 decades was down to improved diet and associated increase in average weight of young girls.

they were having kids at 12 500 years ago, so I'm not sure about received wisdom!

Also, poor diet can easily result in increased weight

the report you've posted contains a rather small number of measurements and is a bit thin on analysis
