So, some of those in NI want Ireland to be solely Irish? The only difference between them and the Scot Nats who want Independence for Scotland is that some of the Republicans in Ireland are sick bs who are willing to kill innocents to make their point!
Did you never have a Scottish equivalent to the Welsh 'Sons of Glyndwr' who went around torching houses they thought were second homes, especially in N. Wales. Certainly, on at least one occasion, they torched a house that not only had a dog in it, but belonged to the local farmer, who had managed to get someone to cover his farm for a month or so whilst he and his family had a long-deserved holiday!!
I couldn't confidently say that there's NEVER been anything like that, Andy, but not that I'm aware of - it's mostly Nats pontificating about how "everyone in Scotland" wants independence - but they're SO sure of that that they won't have a referendum
.....coz deep down, they know what the response will be! YES, some do want it, but thankfully they ARE in the minority, no matter WHAT that eejit Salmond thinks!!
the political force that is the scottish nationalist movement is certainly in a state of evolution... i cannot imagine that too many scots would take Sammond as their heir supreme.... however the independence of the scottish parliament does demonstrate a shift in decision making potential that gives opportunities for the scots to experiment with self determination on those issues they feel strongly about... i would though suspect that sessationism would not be an appropriate option at the minute cos the scots do rely on income from the UK gov for many of their spends... and europe probs is gonna have to look at its own spending cuts and priorities.... saying that it remains to be seen where and what the plight of the poor in scotland is likely to be.. and what the options are... i really could not see Sammond winning the hearts and the minds so i guess folks muddle along with what best they could..
GOD BLESS!
Peace and Love,
i guess they scotland could cessate then invite a safe haven for all that dodgy monopoly money banking that would bring the pennies in at least for a while... in fact they could do quite well out of being a tax haven for the tax avoiders... but hey
