I've had my holiday - mid-July, I went down to visit my sister in Hampshire for a week. She's coming up to take my Dad up to Inverness for a week on Saturday, so 'technically' that will be another "holiday" for me(!!!)
If I could go anywhere....? Jeez, there is a list...: I'll ALWAYS want to go to NYC - absolutely LOVE it: so much to see and do and it can be as hectic or relaxing as you want. Would also love to go back to Washington DC. Want to visit friends in Australia, would love to go back to Ieper in Belgium and spend more time there (overnight visit last time)
A holiday lying by the pool for a week/fortnight and doing nothing else but sunbathe has never appealled. I don't mind doing that for a WEE bit of the time but then I get bored and need to go and do something or see something of where I am. I've never understood the "we didn't need to leave the apartment complex because everything was there" type of holiday. What's the point of going abroad and not seeing something of the country you're in....but each to their own!!
