In a recent chat with religious types David Cameron says we need to return to Christian Values. Isn't this just a back to basics revisited, where the sign on the front of the shop says Perfect Goods, yet within all is corruption. The Liberal spokesman has says that he doesn't think values should be pinned on just one religion, and I think he might be right. And of course this assumes, or seems to assume that religious people have the edge when it comes to morals. The most decent, Christian woman I ever met was nothing of the sort, she had no faith at all, but she was good, kind, supportive, part of her local community, everything you could ever want from the good and faithful Miss Marple type.
When people talk about Christian Values, what do we mean, and in what respect do they differ from Muslim Values, Hindu Values or Buddhist Values?
