Mrs Browns Boys

Has anyone else been watching this series? Steve and I caught the last episode - we were both in stitches laughing. Its like a cross between Mrs Doubtfire and Father Ted. If you like Father Ted humour then you will no doubt enjoy this (though the humour is quite 'adult' ) ... still it has priests in it and a picture of Jesus ... and God is mentioned here and there  ;)

Its still on BBC iplayer if anyone wants to catch it. I am watching the episodes I missed (which is all of them except the last one)
'Amor Vincit Omnia' ?

Like you Jan, I only caught the last one - and that due to inertia! The trailers looked so un-funny i had been avoiding it. Bad mistake!

It was one that I also avoided due to the trailers.

I did see Not going Out, with Lee Mack though..hilarious. another one I didn't think I'd find funny.

I'll catch Mrs Browns on Dave  :)

I have caught some episodes of 'Not Going Out'. I like the character of the cleaning lady (Miranda Hart).

My iPlayer tends to get ahead of itself with the sound or the picture runs slow so its out of sinc. Watching it on Dave might be a better option so thanks for that Mike. I think a new series is due out some time. Its very much a 'keep it in the family' thing as to the cast.

"The TV show is made using the regular stage show cast, including O'Carroll's real-life wife Jennifer Gibney as Cathy, his daughter Fiona O'Carroll as Maria, his son Danny O'Carroll as Buster, and his sister Eilish O'Carroll as Winnie McGoogan."

Saw Brendan O'Carroll in the stage show "Mrs Brown's last Wedding" years ago in Glasgow, very funny! Not seen any of the tv series.
