no to liberal theologies, but yes to liberal democracies?
« on: September 20, 2011, 13:47:52 »
all on the same day .... one person bashed liberal theologies and eulogised liberal democracies..

i was intrigued by the apparent contradiction ....   is there a squaring of this kindov circle?

do fundies really like liberal democracies?  and if so why?  or do they?

on the other hand do liberal theologians actually like liberal democracies or are more strict codes of political organisation more favored?

GOD BLESS!

Peace and Love,

I suspect the answer is that a huge proportion of people do not actually bring their religious beliefs into play in the rest of their lives - and that will also apply to their religious liberality or lack thereof.  There is often a 'firewall' between religion and life.
