i think this is a pretty limp attempt of the beeb to well kindov justify it's without breath coverage of the Now etc....:

the low point of this coverage has been: on radio 5-live the livesy lovey love in ... allowed on live a caller who complained about the coverage suppressing and distracting from important goings on in uk and the world... the banal Tony Livesy and those ghastly team.... told him to hang on cos there was something for him later... debate? no it was the pullitzer prize journalist being interviewed (watergate fame?) commenting on stuff and categorically recognising the public was being hoodwinked by the media focus on trivia..... i liked listening to that guy ... unfortunately we got Livesy and co... and i switcjhed off in disgust... what matters?
any stories that the 'magazine' journalist missed? or you'd have liked more info or attention for- like the police story ..... and the big society story?
