'Terms of the agreement'
« on: March 23, 2011, 21:50:49 »
In order to register here, one has to click on a button that says 'I accept the terms of the agreement'.  Unfortunately for us early-birds, there is no such agreement in place, so I would like to put on record that any such agreement should be inclusive, and should not exclude the open debate of moral issues of the day.

The 'mission statements' of previous incarnations of the forum have always made it clear that every issue is open to debate, rather than proscribing some as is the case on some forums.

Also that, when the terms of agreement thought up (if ever!) we all get notified as to what is proposed, so we can have our say about their content before we are kicked off for not complying with them!

I'm certainly up for 'anything goes' as far as discussion goes.  I knw that some topics get bandied about freely, but like many others on the board, I suspect, I've actually learned to just skip past it, and not read a word of the carefully crafted answer.....which might make posters wonder if it's worth it!

I see that you're having a go at me with your 'nice' comment, knowing that I'm socially insecure with regard to the sugared biscuit, and whether I should pronounce it nice, as it not nasty, or neice, as in not nephew. :o :-X
