Sod's / Murphy's law
« on: May 16, 2011, 10:34:12 »
It's been blowing half a gale here for the last 3 or 4 hours, so I thought I'd put the washing out to get a good blow through (not particularly sunny, mind - but lots of positive ions to make the clothes smell fresh).  As soon as I come in from hanging it out, the wind dies!!

Can any of you scientificy folk tell me which section of Sod's Law covers this situation?   w:  (/:  /.\

Have you visited the Garw Valley Railway yet?

I have the washing on airers in the garage with the doors open, it is blowing a gale here too, but the second I put it out the sun goes in and it rains!

They should employ me to do my laundry in drought stricken areas of the world, it would soon produce a downpour! 0o|

what do the 'sciencey' folk know eh  ;)  - even our weather people can get the weather wrong.

The way I look at it is that this grisly weather is to help prepare the soil & plants for a very warm few weeks to come.

Got some new plants and I have asked hubby to put hanging basket up outside - but he won't drill into wall until rain stops (for some reason)

I wish we had your problem Jan - the farmers & gardeners round this part of the world are tearing their hair out - what little they have left!
Check out www.specialistauctions.com - the alternative to ebay!
