farbeitformeto answer for AndyHB... but seems everyone's interest here seems to have waned with the demise about I~nngland which is a shame given the title of this thread was Cricket World Cup... one expects an internationalist perspective much like ... well i do like that the cricketing commentators many of whom have played the game to a significatn level are pretty happy to watch and admire and decry performances from all participants.....
me i didn't see very much cricket but i certainly was looking out for the progress of the game today... and i believe that ~India won that there was some bizarre controversy over the coin toss????!!! both teams selected relatively one new player to play in the final without much experience of the compo!!!!
both Tendulkar and Murali had damp squib swansongs but there were some amazing batting performances from Jayawardena 103, Gambhir 90something and Dhoni 90something off of 79 balls and the final was pretty competitive as were both semifinals in theri own right... plenty of cricket in fact!
well done to both teams a final that ensured that one of the host teams would win the competition for the first time!
India won commiserations to Sri Lanka
and to everyone else including Canada Kenya and Inngland of course!
GOD BLESS!
Peace and Love,
