Ecu, while I would also very much prefer for there to be no armed forces, that is not the position - and they DO need pastoral care while on active service; therefore there is a need for pastors in the services.

However I hope he (and/or his unit Commander) had the sense to say no on this occasion! - and, of course that he has recovered fully while on holls.
