I think man is the summit of God's creation. Mankind is clearly distinguished from other living creatures. The most profound difference being, man possesses an immortal soul.
and yet what do we have in Ecclesiastes 3:19?
Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless.
