It's all a good bit of theatre, as is politics as a whole.
the news that energy prices are set rise again has been completely overshadowed by this latest scandal, which only effects a small number of people.

It may not affect us personally - but it does need to be dealt with as it is quite serious even though it might only affect a small number. Evil and corruption cannot go unchallenged (IMO)

Energy prices - they are supposed to be 'being investigated'. We generally don't have any power as individuals to control the energy prices - the only thing we can do is change our suppliers or get a fixed deal (for a time). Its likely though that other suppliers are going to increase their prices too. In a bit we will all be sat outside our homes around camp fires, burning our junkmail  to keep warm.
