Having said that about the chiefs rather than the Indians getting the boot, my tenants business banking is with LLoyds, but to get to their business manager they have to go to Birmingham (from ~ 1/2 way between Oxford & Cheltenham, (and they are not allowed to phone her direct either! talk about a daft way of organising things!) - it used to be in the village where their shop is (just 3 miles down the road...), then got amalgamated with other areas and shifted 10 miles to the local market town, and now, as I say, the manager is based in Brum covering God knows how big an area....
