In fact, in addition to Andy's comment, it is clearly demonstrable that immigration is good for the economy overall (especially in terms of innovation), and has also been very good for the culture of this country. The problems arise when there are huge influxes which need assimilation - and last until that assimilation has occurred.
hmmm i appreciate that island borders are difficult to maintain... but i do feel to maintain that there are no end of problems with folks just arriving on that island... the kinds of people you are describing there .. you make it sound like a faMILY on holiday.. going camping.... for arguments sake... they arrive at one field and find some campers have just pitched tents so they merrily move on to the next field and so on until finally they find one that thye like... oh and then it was time to go home!.....
people migrating to find work are doing so very often cos they can't make ends meet where they are... or are looking to better their prospects.... the tourists indeed still can pick and choose cos all they want out of it is a good time... the others have limited resources that they invest in getting from A to B there is no guarantee that they have anywhere to go on to if they can't hack where they are....
GOD BLESS!
Peace and Love,
