Not so sure that it is that easy to say 'No thank you' when it comes to medical treatment.
Well I was more meaning saying 'no thank you' to the spiritual 'help' - if it wasn't wanted or required, but thinking about it, the medical help side - a person wouldn't be there in the medical centre unless he was there for medical help (surely?). Also some types of medical treatment do require the patients consent in the form of a signature.
Also, how can the GMC 'remand' anyone. That is a legal term, the power on which I don't think the GMC actually has. It might have warned the GP - but remanded?
