Its easy just to say 'no thank you' when help (any help inc the spiritual kind) is offered but not needed or wanted.
Not so sure that it is that easy to say 'No thank you' when it comes to medical treatment. The pressure people are put under to accede to the 'expert's' proposed treatment seems to be getting increasingly difficult unless you already have some knowledge of the various options.
Also, how can the GMC 'remand' anyone. That is a legal term, the power on which I don't think the GMC actually has. It might have warned the GP - but remanded?
